This module is part of a 2-volume set. Part 2 of this module explains the dental assistant’s role in dental radiography procedures; including bitewing and full mouth radiographs utilizing the bisection of the angle technique (bisecting technique). The bisecting technique refers to the placement of the film and the location of the x-ray head in relation to the bisecting angle which is half way between the angle of the x-ray film and the long axis of the tooth. Film holding devices, such as the XCP (extension-cone paralleling) device are explained in this module, along with the 5 basic rules for performing the bisecting technique.
